Letter To My Foster

Dear Foster,

So your case worker stood you up again? It’s beginning to feel like you’ve been through this before…neglect. Now, instead of being neglected by your parents, you are being neglected by those who took you from your parents “for your protection.” This sucks, I know! It’s angering, I know! Sometimes it’s difficult for you to find the words to say, so instead of saying that you are feeling sad, angry or scare, you yell and act out. I get it. I do. I can’t make you see the other part of your journey and your struggles. This part of your journey has been marked with so much pain. Keep pushing. Get what you can from this and keep pushing. Push past this disappointment. There is something greater than this feeling of defeat. You are valued!

With Love,

Ms. Jackson

  1. As I am says:

    J,
I’m so proud of you and proud to call you a friend. Beautiful letter!! I can so hear your voice in these words! The world is a better place because of you. Thank you for serving others and allowing God to use you as a vessel for his love.

Anxiously awaiting my cameo (and to go viral)

Also, I’m trying to leave a comment but apparently I had signed up to have a blog in 2009 and forgot all about it. Tried to delete the previous comment. I need to learn how to work the internet before I go viral.
